Log 6 - Volleyball

During the game of volleyball, the two factors that influenced me in participating in volleyball was Social Factors and being able to go at my own pace. The reason as for why Social Factors is one of my factors is because I was able to participate more in volley knowing that I had a friend that was in the same team as me. And to have a friend on the same team as me, it makes me feel more comfortable/ confident in myself. Being able to go at my own pace was another factor of mine because since I wasn't able to do volley properly, I was able to learn how to play/hit the ball. I was also allowed to go at my own pace because when it was my turn to hit the ball, I wasn't pressured to hurry up and hit the ball. Being able to go at my own pace made the game for me a little bit more fun because having the feeling that I didn't have to rush made me feel more at ease with participating in volley.

Log 5 - Volleyball

The two factors that influenced me in participating in volley was sense of achievement and social factors. The reason as to why sense of achievement is one of my factors that influenced my participation is because knowing that I wasn't that good at serving the ball, I was still able to hit the ball back over to the opponent's side to try at least score a point for my team. Also knowing that I tried my best to push myself into getting out of my comfort zone, I still stood my grounds and participated in volley so that I was able to help out my team and that made me feel like I had achieved something. Social factors influenced my participation because as I said above, I tried my best to push myself out of my comfort zone is because I had had one of my friends be in my team which made me relax a bit more and made me feel more comfortable to join into the game as much as I wanted too.

Log 4 - Volleyball

The two factors that had influenced me by participating in volleyball was Social factors and Well-being. Social factors impacted my participation in volleyball because I was able to be on the team that I wanted. The team where I knew I would feel most comfortable in because my friends were in there. Knowing that I was able to be on that team, it made feel more relaxed/comfortable and participate more in the activity. Because I know that if I was to be on a team where I didn't feel comfortable, I wouldn't have joined as much in the game. Well-being had an influence on my participation in joining volley, because of me moving around during the whole game, it would have benefited my physical well-being, causing me to be active and to hope it would have made me fitter.

Log 3 - Ki O Rahi

In the activity Ki O Rahi, The two factors that influenced my participation in the game were Challenge, fun and enjoyment.
The reason as to why 'challenge' was one of my factors is because I wanted to push myself into seeing if I was score as many points as possible and to see if I was able to participate myself into playing the whole way through the game. It was also a challenge because to push myself out of my comfort zone and socialize with my team and the people around me. Fun and enjoyment was another one of my factors because even though I was pushing myself out of my comfort zone, I still had fun playing Ki O Rahi and the enjoyment it bought to be by chasing after the opposing side to take the flag off of them and all the laughter that was happening at the same time. Because at the end of the day, If I wasn't able to score as many points as wanted too or get out of my comfort zone, I was still able to have fun, which all that matters to me.

Log 2 - Turbo Touch

In turbo touch, the two factor that had an influence on me by participating in turbo was Sense Of Achievement and Social Factors.
Sense of achievement influenced my participation in turbo touch because, at the end of the game, I knew that even though I may have not gone after the ball like the rest of my team did, I still stayed back guarding the mat trying to make sure that the opposing team doesn't score a try. And doing something instead of not doing anything felt good knowing that I still did something to help out my team. Social Factor influenced my participation in Turbo Touch because since one person that I knew and talk to the most in practical and theory was in my team, I was able to participate more in the activity that we were doing knowing that there is someone that I know is on my side. And if she wasn't on my team, I know that I would have not participated that much or even not at all.

Log -1 Multisports

In 1 sport, the two factors that influenced my participation in doing multisports was challenge, fun and enjoyment.
My first factor (challenge) influenced me participating in p.e because I wanted to challenge myself by seeing if I was able to contribute myself to play all the activities. My second factor ( fun and enjoyment) influenced my participation because even though I didn't want to join 1-3 activities in multisports, I still had fun participating in the activities that I did do and also had fun joining in the games that I didn't really want to participate in.

Follow - Through Phase

In the follow-through phase, I still need to contract certain segments. To make sure my shot is effective I need to contract my smaller muscles in my arm. I know that I am still following the principle of sequence because my smaller muscles are the last one to finish off.

While in the follow through phase the joints that are being used are my shoulder joints (ball and socket) and my elbow joint (hinge joint). From the execution phase to the follow-through phase, my shoulder and my elbow are still continuing to be fully extended as my shoulder is going towards the ground and my elbow is not flexing. Another joint that is In the follow-through phase, is my ankle joint and my hip joint. The working muscle that is contracting for the shoulder joint is the latissimus dorsi and the antagonist muscle in this movement is my pectoralis major. The agonist muscle in the elbow in this movement is my triceps and the antagonist muscle in this movement is my biceps as my elbow is extended. As my hip is in the extended formation, The contracting muscle is my quadriceps and my Maximus is the relaxing muscle in this movement. As my ankles in plantar flexion, the agonist muscle is my gastrocnemius and the antagonist muscle is my tibialis anterior. The similarities between mine and the ideals joints are that we both are using the same joints as the ones I have listed above.

In the follow-through phase, I am using Newton's third law. Newton's third law states "Whenever a force is applied, there is an equal and opposite reaction". I am applying Newton's Third law in basketball by the more I flex my joints and contract my muscles, the more force I create causing it to be the action and the reaction is the force that I have created, the further the ball will travel.

In the follow-through phase balance and stability is still important in producing a well-executed shot. To be balanced in this phase I need to make sure that my line of gravity is within my base of support to give me the balance and support I need. I know that I am balanced because my base of support is still in contact with the ground. I can see that my balance and stability is the same as the ideals as we both have our center of gravity located in our body.

Execution Phase

In the execution phase, I still need to contract as many segments as possible to generate maximum force. As well as using my lower body segments, I also need to contract my upper body muscles in my Basketball Shot. In order for me to generate as much maximum force as I can, I need to follow a sequence, of contracting my lower larger muscles and passing it to my upper smaller muscles. I also need to make sure that my timing is correct so this means that I need to contract my larger muscles, then passing it to my smaller muscles one by one in the correct timing and order.

In the execution phase, the joints that are being used are; knee, hip & elbow. While moving from the preparation phase to the execution phase these joint movements are changing. The knee joint is going from flexion during the preparation phase, to extension in the execution phase. While my knees are extended, the muscles that are working are my Quadriceps and Hamstrings. My quadriceps is agonist's muscle and my hamstrings are the antagonist muscles in this movement. In the execution phase, my hip is now extending from the position it was in before (flexing). While my hip is extended, my quadricep is the contracting muscle so that means it's the working muscle and my gluteus  Maximus is the antagonist muscle so that means it's the relaxing muscle. My elbow joint in the preparation phase was flexed, but going on to the execution phase, it changes and goes into an extended formation. The agonist muscle in this movement is my triceps as my elbow is extended making my triceps contract muscle, and my biceps are the antagonist muscle as it is relaxing. You can also see that my ankle is plantar flexion as my toes are flexed downwards towards the sole. Since my ankle is plantar flexion, my muscle that is contracting is my gastrocnemius and my antagonist muscle that is relaxing is my Tibialis Anterior. The similarities between mine and the ideals execution are that we both have our ankles plantar flexion making our body extended. But one difference between mine and the ideals shot is that I have one foot in front of the other and in the ideals shot, both his feet are next to each other. The similarities between mine and the ideals joints are that we both are extending our elbows, knees, and hip.

In the execution phase, I am using Newton's 2nd law. Newton's second law states "When a force is being applied, it will accelerate at a rate dependent upon the size of the object and force". I am creating force by how bent my knees are. If my knees are really bent, I would be creating a lot of force making my shot be able to go to the hoop. But by looking on my preparation phase I can see that I'm only slightly bending my knees, which means the acceleration of my shot wouldn't have that much effect on the ball getting into the hoop.

In the execution phase, balance and stability are important to produce a well-coordinated shot. To be balanced my center of gravity has to be inside of my body. If my center of gravity was to be outside of my body, then that would mean that I'm unstable. The center of gravity is defined as the point at which all are equally balanced. From the picture above, I can see that my center of gravity is inside me, so that means that I am balanced. I know that I am not balanced as my base of support is off the ground making me not balanced also I know that I am not balanced because I have got one foot in front of the other. The similarities between mine and the ideal's shot is that we both are plantar flexion and that our hips, knees, and elbows are extended. But the only difference between mine and the ideal's is that on hit execution phase, he has both of his feet next to each other while on my execution phase, I have one foot in front of the other.

Preparation Phase

To generate maximum force I need to contract as many segments as possible. I know I am contracting segments in my preparation phase because my lower body muscles are working. Since my lower muscles are working, they are contracting maximum force so that my shots increase. While applying the preparation phase, I know that I have using the principal of segments from force summation as I can see that I am contracting segments as I am bending my knees. Before I'm going to take a shot, I know that I am following the principle of sequence because I'm using my lower big muscles (Legs) which then passes through to my upper smaller body muscles to produce maximum force.

In the preparation phase, I am contracting my lower body muscles. This means that I am using my Hips, Knees and Ankle joints in this phase. I can see in my preparation phase my knees are the first joint, which is classified as a hinge joint. When my knees are bent, that means that it's flexing. While my knees are flexing, I am contracting my leg muscles. The leg muscles that are contracting are my hamstrings and Quadriceps. While contracting, my hamstring is the agonist's (Working) muscle and my quadriceps is the antagonist's (Relaxing) muscle. When my knees are flexing, my ankles are flat on the ground so that means that it's Dorsiflexion. I can see that in my preparation phase, my joint's and the ideals joint's are similar as we both have bent knees and elbows.

In the preparation phase, I am using Newton's Laws. The Newton's law that I am using in this phase is his 1st Law. Newton's 1st Law states "In order to move something, you need to apply force to move it".  I am overcoming inertia by contracting my hamstrings so that I am able to bend my knees.

In the preparation phase, balance and stability are important when performing a sporting movement. The line of gravity (L.O.G) is defined when the verticle line passes through the centre of gravity to the ground. When the line of gravity must be within our base of support. The base of support (B.O.S) is defined when the area is in contact with the ground. e.g; If you were to go on your knees, and put your hands on the ground, you are stable as your hands & knees are in contact with the ground. My line of gravity is located from my head, to the middle of my body, going straight to the base of my support. Therefore I am stable because I have my two base of support in contact with the ground. I can see that my balance and stability are similar to the ideal one, as, in my preparation phase, my base of support are planted to the ground, making my preparation phase and the ideal's preparation phase the same because the ideal's base of support is also in contact with the ground.

Log 6- Doctor Dodgeball

Last Friday during our activity Doctor Dodgeball, the I.P skills that I had demonstrated was Supporting & Encouraging others.

I have demonstrated supporting and encouraging others by cheering on my team, saying the terms like "yas (person's name) you got this" "well done" "nice" & "keep going". By me supporting and encouraging them, made them feel supported.

The outcome of me supporting & encouraging my team, it had made a positive impact because it made them feel supported/ happy because they knew that their team was motivating them to keep going, which made them to not give up. It also made me feel good/happy because my team was supporting/ encouraging me/ their team.

Log 5- Kickball

On Thursday, 22/3/18, the I.P skills that i have demonstrated in the activity we were doing (Kickball) was Inclusiveness.
I have demonstrated inclusiveness by making my teammates feel like their involved in the game. Making sure that everyone in the group had a turn, including them all so that everyone got to have a turn on kicking the ball.
The outcome of me including my teammates had made a positive impact because they felt involved in the activity. And cause since everyone on my team were getting involved, we all felt like a team, because we were all getting involved in the game. Also, when we were involved, we felt happy because no one felt like they were on the outside.

Log 4- Kickball

On Thursday, 15/3/18, I demonstrated Supporting & Encouraging others for my Interpersonal skills while partaking in the activity we were doing (Kickball). I have demonstrated supporting & encouraging others by saying the terms like “ Keep going” “You got this” “ Well done” and even giving them high fives/ handshakes. By me supporting and encouraging them, it made them feel good about themselves. The outcome of me doing that, it made a positive impact because when I was supporting/ encouraging them, it made them feel encouraged and motivated to keep going, which made me feel good about myself because I never really support or encourage others.

Log 3- Basketball

On Friday, 9/3/18, I did not show cooperation in the activity we were doing
(Basketball) for my I.P skills.
I didn’t show cooperation in the game basketball because instead of me getting involved with my
teammates, I just sat out on the sidelines.
The outcome of me not cooperating, showed a negative impact as I did not help out my teammates. Since I didn’t cooperate, my team had to find a person who could replace my spot. And since I wasn't helping, there was one less person in the group that I was supposed to be in which didn’t help as they couldn’t successfully score tries without a full team.

Log 2- Obstacle Course

Last Thursday during our Obstacle Course, the interpersonal skill that I demonstrated was Effective Communication.

I demonstrated effective communication by giving the directions to my blind folded partner. I gave them directions by saying the terms like "turn left" "turn right" "slow down" & "take small steps". By me/my other partner giving directions, this allowed our partner with the blind fold on trust us and know where to walk.

The outcome of my/ other partner's effective communication made a very positve impact because the person with the blind fold on felt safe and had trust in us. Allowing the blindfolded partner feel comfortable and safe because because she knew which way to go because of the directions we were giving.

Log 1- Fastball

Last Thursday during our activity fast ball, I demonstrated cooperation for my I.P skills.

I demonstrated cooperation by getting involved in the activity we were doing with my teammates. I cooperated with my team by not sitting out of the game like i use to last year in 10sports. I helped out my team players by guarding the mat so that the opposite team couldn't score a goal.

The outcome of my cooperation made a positive impact since me/everyone fromthe team I was in, cooperated making us be able to score goals.
